I drove to this location on a Thursday afternoon before shopping at Potomac Mills and enjoyed my visit. The store sits in a strip mall about a mile or so across from Potomac Mills not easily seen from the road. The inside looks clean even if the furnishings look older and more rustic. Service struck me as pleasant and efficient. I also observed what I presume to be a manager greeting customers with a “Welcome in!” I overheard reassuring communication among the manager and cooks about a few orders. Food then arrived in a reasonable time after my order. The online reviews suggested quality food, and I was not disappointed. I ordered chicken and waffles along with a side of crinkle fries and some donut holes. The chicken was predictably thermally hot and still juicy and not dry in any sense. The waffle could have been a little warmer, but the texture and taste were fine to be sure. The good-tasting fries could be better only with frying a minute or two longer and a little salt. The donut holes were a pleasant ending with a crisp exterior rolled in cinnamon sugar and a soft interior still warm. The total bill came to about $20 excluding tax, so I left feeling a sense of value that I experience much less frequently than I would like. The staff know their way around a fryer and offer an appealing choice for a quick lunch or dinner bite. I could see myself returning if I were in the area for a Prince William Forest Park visit or a Potomac Mills shopping trip.

I came from Texas as a truck driver and heard about this place and had to get some freshly made food with care and patience. Staff takes care of you and meet your needs. This is a place of return. Go Hot Chicken

hot chicken kitchen never misses! their chicken and waffles presents appetizing combination of textures and flavors. the chicken is always well cooked. i like to go with their after burner sauce for a bit of a kick. the waffles have deep pockets that are perfect for holding syrup and their dusting of powdered sugar adds an extra touch of sweetness to balance the savory chicken. my go to is the loaded mac and cheese bowl, it contains chicken and macaroni & cheese. topped with their home made good sauce and shredded cheese. i like to go with their base sauce on the chicken just so it isn’t overwhelming with spice. overall i highly recommend hot chicken kitchen if you are looking for a spicy chicken meal!

We absolutely love this place. The food is just amazing. The only concern we have is a bit about clean less The floor was very very sticky. Fountain machine did not look cleaned in front of the counter needed to be wiped. Looks like sauce was spilled at one point.. Overall, we give 10 out of 10.

The food is always consistently awesome here. Their Nashville style or inspired chicken sandwich is better than anything in Tennessee thanks to their brined chicken (I assume it is) and sauces. Their fries rock and their buffalo wings are bigger and better than any others in the region (and they serve them with Bleu cheese). And no meal is complete without their homemade donut balls that are fried to order. Your heart will hate you but your stomach will love you here!
